Canon Australia has announced the release of its next generation multifunctional devices, called the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500i Series.

The series consists of four, colour A3 multifunction devices, which Canon says will “enhance productivity through intelligent document workflows, provide an intuitive user experience and address the total cost of print across an organisation”.

Gavin Gomes, newly appointed Director for Canon Business Services said our next generation devices are built on an award-winning imageRUNNER ADVANCE platform.

“These multifunctional devices will boost efficiency and help deliver on digital transformation strategies of Australian businesses,” Gomes said.

Peter Brittliff, Senior Manager-Product at Canon, said that by minimising maintenance and downtime while boosting productivity and profitability, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500i Series is designed to deliver maximum return on investment to businesses.

“The value of print for our customers lies in its ability to create, manage and share documents and information in a secure manner, and seamlessly across an organisation,” Brittliff said. “The new range of devices come with the new shared platform to reduce administration, and ensure employees have the technology they need to work digitally and efficiently.”

“The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500i Series delivers these benefits cost effectively across the entire workflow and fit seamlessly into any working environment,” Brittliff continued. “It represents best in class performance, designed with environmental goals in mind and advanced network security.”

The new range offers a powerful digitisation process, which starts with a single-pass duplexing document feeder that holds up to 150 originals. The scanned documents can be converted to Searchable PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint files, quickly and easily.

Canon says that through “Seamless integration with business applications and cloud connectivity”, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5500i Series will be compatible with existing business systems to provide mobility.
